Our beautiful gardens use many evergreens and look lush and green all year round!

WEATHER

The Model Village is mostly outdoors.

However, set in a valley, the gardens are often quite sheltered from some of the wind.  If it is showery we do have a few indoor attractions such as the Mythical Kingdom – a masterpiece of hand-crafted modelling.  The indoor areas could easily pass 20-30 minutes.

Weather Forecasts – check on the day and keep an open mind. Longer range forecasts, days ahead,  are usually inaccurate.  It’s quite common for Torquay to have better weather – a little bit warmer, drier or sunnier – than forecasts suggest, especially during the summer months!

Winter – Extreme wet/windy/icy weather may affect our opening times, though this is very rare.  In the event of such weather, please check ahead  – email us mail@model-village.co.uk or conact us on facebook, in the morning before making your journey.  By extreme weather we would determine – lots of ice or snow on paths (not frosty days) or very strong winds that are getting in excess of 60mph.
