The Model Village is set in a large beautiful valley and portrays a generic version of Britain through the decades with some well-known landmarks and a few twists. There’s many hidden puns, fun scenes and lots of humour for adults & children to enjoy.

Babbacombe Model Village on the English Riviera is mostly outdoors but, if it is showery, we do have fun INDOOR ATTRACTIONS too.

Award-Winning Gardens

The village is set in 4.5 acres of gardens which require on-going attention throughout the year by our team of professional gardeners. This ensures that they are kept in an immaculate condition and the scenes are kept to scale.

Hand-Crafted Model Scenes

Over 400 models of houses, stately homes, factories, shops and entertainment venues. There are many styles from medieval through Shakespearean to Victorian, along with some well-known monuments and landmarks. Not forgetting, of course, over 13,000 miniature people who live in the village.  A 1/12th scale model railway loops around the middle of the gardens. Don’t forget to activate the fire-breathing dragon!

Adults will also appreciate the work and craftsmanship that goes into making and maintaining the models, each costing thousands of pounds to create, ensuring the high quality standards our visitors expect. Children enjoy finding spotter sheet characters and all the quirky fun scenes.

As everything is in miniature, take your time, look and look again, the slower you go the more you will see.
